Safety Expo 2025 | National Trade Fair on Fire Prevention and Safety
This year once again, the two-day event dedicated to Fire Prevention technologies took place at the Bergamo Trade Fair, organized by the EPC Group, and named Safety Expo 2025. As always, Studio Rainieri was in attendance.
The key novelty of this edition was the exclusive focus on Fire Prevention, for the first time separated from the section dedicated to workplace safety.
Throughout the various conferences and seminars, several important topics were addressed in the presence of the highest-ranking officials of the National Fire Brigade, starting with the Head of the Corps, Eng. Eros Mannino, and the Central Director for Fire Prevention, Eng. Giampietro Boscaino. Alongside the many General Directors and Provincial Commanders, they reiterated the long-standing and well-known commitment of the National Fire Brigade to renew and simplify the regulatory, technical, and formal framework in order to keep Fire Prevention up to date.
A strong focus was placed on the submission of fire prevention applications and certified notices of commencement of activity, in light of new products and new technical standards designed to meet the needs of the market and technological progress.
A concrete example of this is the latest circular governing the design, installation, and management of photovoltaic systems inside buildings—an eagerly awaited and much-needed update, given the significant innovations in construction.
For this edition as well, Studio Tecnico Rainieri participated continuously in the debates, with founder Michele Rainieri and collaborators Davide Ferri and Virginia Chinelli actively contributing to all the technical sessions, both in plenary meetings and in specific in-depth workshops.
The guiding feature of the entire event was the pursuit of clarity in achieving higher levels of design quality, while also ensuring balanced knowledge-sharing with the Fire Brigade officials responsible for inspection and verification, in order to guarantee the highest safety standards in businesses, public buildings, and private residences.
We were also key contributors in sharing field experiences, particularly on topics closest to our mission, such as fire prevention and safety in healthcare facilities of every type and complexity.
Studio Tecnico Rainieri’s presence was also highlighted as a member of APPI, the association that each year increasingly strengthens its role as a representative body of an advanced network of Fire Prevention designers. Many members of APPI’s Board of Directors played a prominent role in the discussions, delivering important presentations within the various conferences organized at Safety Expo 2025.
