Fire Prevention

Inspection and certification

Once the Fire Risk Assessment has been carried out and compensated with an appropriate strategy, it must be put into practice in the worksite.  Executing the works to the best standards, installing the materials correctly, organising the premises and ensuring the systems are integrated and fully usable are just some of the challenges posed by this part of the design process. An in-depth knowledge of material certifications, how to install them and the right relationships with installation craftsmen make our 40 years of experience a tangible asset.

Turning design ideas into safe buildings is the challenge we tackle every day. To meet this challenge head on, we put all our experience and expertise at the disposal of Site Managers. We empower Managers with the support they need to ensure a seamless construction site, without any disruptions and with the resulting Certification once this stage has been completed. We deliver qualified, ongoing support with full knowledge of how construction sites operate. We are familiar with the professional figures that work on sites, and can provide rapid solutions based on the circumstances.

In the past, construction sites needed to obtain a ‘fire prevention certificate’ along with a series of documents deemed necessary at the time. Nowadays, this has been replaced by the SCIA (Start of Activity Certificate), certified by the Professional who issues the permit. The SCIA, combined with the Professional Certification process, allows companies to get production underway. They can do so safe in the knowledge that they are following our tried-and-tested process.

Standards are continuing to change, and certification aspects will change further still. The Technical Controller (at this moment in time the National Fire Department) currently guarantees its assessment of work carried out by companies. This aspect is now developing in the direction of Independent Certification which will see the involvement of insurers, thereby making it possible to handle timescales and responsibilities more efficiently.  Our Firm already operates in this field; we are outlining a new project which we will soon be sharing with our clients and partners.
